Dublin is still buying Flowers

A few of us were talking the other day about the R word. Recession. We have decided that it should be categorised as a rude word and should only be used in conjunction with something other than business, life or pleasure.

Last week was really really strange. We received less orders in the whole week vs what we received before lunchtime on Monday from the previous week. One thing for certain is that the Recession has kicked in for sure but we have found that people are still buying flowers. New Baby Bouquets, Thank you Flowers and Anniversary Flowers are all very popular at the moment. No matter what way the economy goes people will always celebrate and mark occassions.

Thankfully the people of Dublin have come out of hidding again this week after the  dreaded budget, the removal of billions of Euro from the value of Irish Bank shares as well and the annoyance that fuel and smokes are going up in price!

I know the guys from Arena Flowers in the UK have put together some really good posts in relation to the effects of the markets on Flowers so I won’t go into that in too much detail.

Suffice to say if you want to get the most for your money, you should be buying your flowers on www.flowersmadeeasy.ie

There are several reasons for this.

1. We of the volume we purchase and the fact that have a partnership agreement with our suppliers in Holland our bouquets are better value for money.

2. We have a 5,000 sq ft warehouse in Dublin with over 1,000 sq ft of Cold Room which means your flowers are stored at the correct tempurate from the moment they are cut to the moment the leave our warehouse on route to your delivery address.

3. We have completed thousands of orders already this year lots and lots of smiles from our customers.

4. YOU GET A FREE WISPA!  – Their Back and we love them so we thought we would share the love with you.

On a technical note – Anyone know why Google hasn’t given us a page rank for our blog yet?

    Hello Eammon,

Great post. The real impact of the current economic crisis has started kicking in. Anxious about the coming months on how people respond in terms of buying flowers and gifts. We have already seen a marginal decline in the past couple of weeks.

    Btw, thanks for the link!
