Sustainable Flowers
Does Flowers Made Easy use sustainable flowers?
Yes. Flowers Made Easy has followed sustainable sourcing practices since 2007, favouring locally sourced and seasonal flowers wherever a genuine alternative exists, and packaging every order in sustainable, eco-friendly materials.
Are the flowers locally grown in Ireland?
Many of them are. Flowers that grow well in the Irish climate, such as sunflowers, dahlias, sweet pea and hydrangea through summer, or daffodils and tulips in spring, are sourced locally and seasonally wherever possible. Some flowers that don't grow in Ireland at any time of year are sourced from trusted growers with shorter, less carbon-intensive supply routes.
Why does buying seasonal flowers matter?
Flowers forced to bloom out of season typically need artificial heat and supplementary light to grow, and are more likely to have travelled a long distance to reach an Irish florist. Seasonal flowers are grown in the conditions they're naturally suited to, which means less energy spent getting them to bloom.
What makes the packaging sustainable?
Every order goes out in sustainable, eco-friendly packaging, and each bouquet is delivered in a protective aqua pack to keep it hydrated in transit without unnecessary waste. The aqua pack and any biodegradable wrapping can be recycled or reused once the flowers are finished.
Does choosing sustainable flowers cost more?
Not necessarily. Seasonal, locally sourced flowers are often more cost-effective than imported out-of-season varieties, since they haven't needed the same transport and heated growing conditions.
What's in season in Ireland right now?
It depends on the time of year: daffodils and tulips in spring, peonies and sweet pea in early summer, sunflowers, dahlias and hydrangea through the summer, and chrysanthemums and asters into autumn. Read our full month-by-month seasonal flower guide.
Same-Day Dublin Delivery
What time do I need to order for same-day delivery in Dublin?
Order before 2pm Monday to Thursday, or before 1pm on Fridays, for same-day flower delivery across Dublin city and county. Same-day Dublin delivery is a genuine priority for the company.
Why is the Friday cut-off earlier than other weekdays?
Friday is typically the busiest delivery day of the week, so the cut-off moves to 1pm to give florists enough time to hand-tie and despatch every order before the weekend without a rush job affecting quality.
Which areas of Dublin get same-day delivery?
Same-day delivery covers north, south and west Dublin, including Swords, Malahide, Blackrock, Dun Laoghaire, Sandymount, Rathfarnham, Terenure, Clondalkin and Blanchardstown. See our full list of areas we cover.
Is same-day delivery available to Dublin city centre?
Yes. Dublin city centre and the surrounding areas are covered under the same 2pm Monday to Thursday and 1pm Friday cut-off as the rest of Dublin city and county.
What happens if I order after the same-day cut-off?
Orders placed after the same-day cut-off are delivered the next working day rather than being delayed indefinitely.
Nationwide Delivery
Does Flowers Made Easy deliver outside Dublin?
Yes. Next-day delivery is available nationwide, covering every county in Ireland, including Cork, Limerick, Louth, Wicklow, Kildare, Mayo and Meath.
Is same-day delivery available outside Dublin?
Same-day delivery is a Dublin-specific service, since it depends on florists being able to arrange and despatch an order within a single working day. Outside Dublin, next-day delivery gives the same hand-tied quality and aqua pack protection, with one extra day built in for the journey.
Can flowers be delivered to a rural address?
Next-day delivery is available to every county in Ireland, including rural addresses, not just towns and cities.
Does nationwide delivery cost extra?
Delivery pricing can vary by location. The exact delivery cost for a specific address is shown at checkout before an order is placed.
Flower Care
How long do fresh flowers usually last?
A well cared for bouquet typically lasts between nine and fourteen days, depending on the flower varieties involved.
How can I make my flowers last longer?
Trim the stems at an angle when they arrive, change the water every one to two days, and keep the arrangement away from direct heat and sunlight. These three steps make the biggest difference to how long a bouquet lasts.
Do the flowers need to go straight into a vase?
Every bouquet is delivered in a protective aqua pack that keeps the stems hydrated in transit, so transferring them into a vase within a few hours of arrival is best for their overall vase life.
Ordering
Can I add a personalised message to my order?
Yes, add your message at checkout and it will be included with the delivery.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes, a confirmation email is sent automatically once your order is placed. Check your spam or junk folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
Contact our team as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change an order. If it hasn't yet been arranged or despatched, we'll do our best to help.
